Carolyn V. Goffigan, 58, of Suffolk died July 4, 2004, at Obici Hospital.

A native of Nansemond County, she worked as a packer at Planters Peanuts and belonged to New Paul’s Temple Holiness Church.

She is survived by three children: a son, Minister Terrance Parker of Suffolk, and two daughters, Treva Parker of Washington, D.C., and Tawiana Fleshman of Suffolk; two sisters, Vera M. Parker of Suffolk and Immogene Wheeler of Washington, D.C.; and 13 grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at noon Friday, July 9, 2004, at New Paul’s Temple Holiness Church by Pastor’s Elder Rodgers. Burial will be in the Cross Family Cemetery at Gates County, N.C.

Hunter’s Funeral Home in Ahoskie, N.C., is handling arrangements.
