Roberta Wiggins Baker

Roberta Wiggins Baker, daughter of the late Henry Harris and Novella Wiggins,
was born on Dec. 9, 1913. God called her home on July 4, 2004 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Roberta was born in New York and educated in North Carolina. She was a member of Metropolitan Baptist Church and served as a member of the Friendship Bible Class of Sunday School, Poly Armstrong Missionary Circle and a past senior usher.
She leaves to cherish her memory four sons, Rudolph Wiggins (Mary) of Michigan, Isaac Baker, Jr. (Thomasine) of Suffolk, James Baker of Suffolk and Cecil Baker of Hampton; one daughter, Yvonne Clark of New York; two sisters-in-law Vivian Fortune Parker and Madeline Wilson; 13 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 8 at T.E. Cooke-Overton Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 9 at Metropolitan Baptist Church. Interment will be at Carver Memorial Cemetery. T.E. Cooke-Overton Funeral Home is in charge.
