Federal offices closing in observance of Reagan’s funeral

The United States flag at the Suffolk Post Office on North Main Street will continue to fly at half staff until July 5. However, the office will be closed today when federal offices observed a day off as former President Ronald Reagan takes his final journey and is laid to rest at his library in Simi Valley, Calif.
Banks, the City of Suffolk, the News-Herald business office and other major businesses will remain open. Nansemond-Suffolk Academy will operate at normal hours and the Suffolk City School System will operate a half-day due to exams.
The Division of Motor Vehicles on Holiday Street will operate at normal hours.
