Denisons announce their recent marriage

Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Denison announce their wedding, which took place Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004, in Hertford, N.C. The ceremony took place in Hertford United Methodist Church, and was performed by the church’s minister, Larry Higgins.
Mrs. Denison, the former Margaret Ann Banks Williams, was attended by her cousin, Barbara Pivinski, who, with her husband, Tony, had introduced the couple .
The private ceremony consisted of traditional Jewish prayers that celebrate the sanctity, responsibilities and happiness of marriage.
The bride wore a suit that had a jacket of mauve pink shantung, trimmed with black beads, and a black, sheer chiffon skirt that fell just below the knees. She wore black peau d’soie, sling-back shoes.
Mrs. Denison has been employed by Perquimans County, N.C., schools for more than 20years, where she works as a second-grade teacher.
Mr. Denison is the founder of Denison’s a fine women’s apparel store located at the Suffolk Shopping Center. He retired in 2002 after selling the business to Kandy Lewis, who, along with her sister, Cecelia Strickland, continues to operate the business. Mr. Denison is employed at his new career in the classified advertising department of the Suffolk News-Herald.
The Denisons plan to make their home in Perquimans County, N.C.
