Arthur Alan Polson, 34, of 569 Turlington Road, Suffolk, lost his long battle with cancer Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004.
A native of Suffolk, he was predeceased by a paternal grandfather, Arthur Coleman Polson, and maternal grandfather, Roy
Pippins Sr.
He was employed with Drakes Lawn Service.
He played on the Triple Crown Softball Team of Suffolk.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Spivey Polson of Suffolk; daughters, Kelsi and Kierstyn Polson of Suffolk; son, Brandyn A. Polson of Suffolk; parents, Arthur Leroy and Shirley Pippin Polson of Suffolk; sister and brother-in-law, Pam P. and David Kinard; paternal grandmother, Pearl Jones Polson of Corapeake, N.C.; maternal grandmother, Martha Gay Pippin of Suffolk; nieces and nephews, Tara and Cody Kinard, Kristina and Meagan Barnes, Brittany and Shayne Brooks; and many devoted friends and family members.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, in the Sidney F. Harrell Chapel of the Harrell & Hill Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Altman and Keith Atkinson officiating. Interment will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Harrell & Hill Funeral Home, and other times at the home of his parents, Leroy and Shirley, 319 Lake Dr., Suffolk.
