Ellen Colleen Quimby Hawkins, 62, of Suffolk, died Friday, Jan. 9, 2004.

A native of Maryland, she was a daughter of the late William and Margaret Robinson. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Rose Q. Hudgins.

She was a private duty sitter.

Survivors include her husband of 15 years, Benjamin Luther Hawkins; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie A. and William r. Turner Jr., and Mary E. and Mark T. Smith, all of Suffolk; and Peggy Sue Raiford of Edinboro, Pa.; six grandchildren, Mandy, Wesley, Brandy, Melvin, Ryan, and Jennifer; one great-grandchild, Connor; sisters and brother, Marlene Selby, Nancy Quesenberry, Carolyn Robinson, and Denny Robinson, all of Maryland; stepdaughter, Tammy Phelps of South Carolina; stepsons, Ike and Dennis Hawkins, both of Suffolk; six step-grandchildren, Meredith, Brandy, Paul, Dennis, Donny, and Scott; and two step-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Parr Funeral Home by Chaplain Tommy Reynolds. Interment will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery.

Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home, and other times at the home Mary and Mark Smith, 3404 Deer Path Road.
