Ethel B. Harvin

Ethel B. Harvin, 91, of the 300 block of St. James Avenue, Suffolk, died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2004, in Nansemond Pointe Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
A native of Suffolk, she was the daughter of the late Abraham Lincoln and Mary Hudgins Long, and the widow of Spencer Harvin.
She had retired from Planters Peanut Co., and was a member of Local Union 26 No. 26, UAW for over 53 years.
She was a former member of Tabernacle Christian Church.
She is survived by cousins, Howard Nicholson Sr. and Virginia E. Ashburn, a devoted friend, Lessie Bynum; caretakers, Margaret Mills and Linda Knight; and other relatives and friends.
The graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, in Carver Memorial Cemetery by Dr. Carlton Upton, pastor of Tabernacle Christian Church.
The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Ashburn, 1118 Truman Road.
Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
