Eric D. Boyer

Civilian Eric D. Boyer recently enlisted in the United States Navy under the Delayed Entry Program at Navy Recruiting District in Richmond. He will report for active duty to undergo basic training at the Navy’s Recruiting Training Center in Great Lakes, Ill. He is the son of Julia M. Adams and is a 2001 graduate of South Gwinnett High School in Snellville, Ga.
Sean M. Cook
Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Sean M. Cook, and his fellow sailors welcomed Maj. Gen. Graham Lamb aboard the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise in the Arabian Gulf Nov. 27. Lamb commended Cook along with the 5,000 other sailors aboard the Enterprise for providing much needed support to ground troops in Iraq. Cook is the husband of Nicole Cook. She is the daughter of Rose Dougherty and Frank S. Dougherty of Suffolk.
Matthew A. Clark
Civilian Matthew A. Clark recently enlisted in the United States Navy under the Delayed Entry Program at Navy Recruiting District in Richmond. He will report to active duty to undergo basic training at the Navy’s Recruit Training Center, in Great Lakes, Ill. Clark is a 2003 graduate of Lakeland High School and the son of Cynthia A. and John F. Clark of Suffolk.
Lynard L. Crocker
Navy Fireman Lynard L. Crocker, and his fellow sailors welcomed Maj. Gen. Graham Lamb aboard the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise in the Arabian Gulf Nov. 27. Lamb commended Crocker along with the 5,000 other sailors aboard the Enterprise for providing much needed support to ground troops in Iraq. Crocker is the son of Carolyn and Lynard Crocker of Suffolk and joined the Navy in Nov. 2000.
Terlarrio L. Faulk
Marine Corps Pvt. Terlarrio L. Faulk recently completed 12 weeks of basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C. designed to challenge new Marine recruits both physically and mentally. Faulk is a 2003 graduate of Lakeland High School and the son of Pamela L. Faulk and Emmitt L. Bailey of Suffolk.

Ebony C. Lewis

Lewis is a 1998 graduate of Lakeland High School and is the granddaughter of Doris Lynch of Suffolk. She joined the Navy in July 1998.
Tarence D. Majette

Barry B. Nichols
Civilian Barry B. Nichols recently enlisted in the U.S. Navy under the Delayed Entry Program at the Navy Recruiting District in Richmond. He will report for active duty to undergo basic training at the Navy’s Recruit Training Center in Great Lakes, Ill. Nichols is completing his senior year at Nansemond River High School and is the son of Nancy E. Woodley and Barry W. Nichols of Suffolk.
Dennis Ridley
Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Dennis Ridley has retired from the U.S. Air Force after 29 years of military service.
An honor graduate of basic military graining, advanced individual training and the Noncommissioned Officer Academy, Ridley has had a distinguished career in the supply career field. His accolades include being recognized as one of the Outstanding Young Men of America, Senior Noncommissioned Officer of the Year and Outstanding Supply Superintendent of the Year. His military decorations include six Meritorious Service Medals, three Air Force Commendation Medals, two air Force Achievement Medals, the National Defense Service Medal with bronze service star, and the Southwest Asia Service Medal With Bronze Service Star. The chief master sergeant graduated in 1973 from the former John Yeates High School and received an associate degree in 1975 from Tidewater Community College in Portsmouth. In 1981 he earned a bachelor’s degree from Christopher Newport Univ. in Newport News. He is the son of the late Henry and Robert Riley, formerly of Nansemond Parkway
Terrance N. Tropolnicki
Civilian Terrance N. Topolnicki recently enlisted in the U.S. Navy under the Delayed Entry Program at Navy Recruiting District in Richmond. He will report for active duty to undergo basic training at the Navy’s Recruit Training Center in Great Lakes Ill. Topolnicki is completing his senior year at Nansemond River High School and is the son of Teresa L. Churchill of Strang, Okla. and Neil C. Topolnicki of Suffolk.
