Edna P. Felton

Eure, N.C. – Edna Earl Perry Felton, 78, of the 200 block of Corner High Road, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003 in Down East Health and Rehab, Gatesville.
Mrs. Felton was born in Chowan County and was the daughter of the late Marcus Angustus and Lessie Jordan Perry. A former nurse’s aid at Roanoke-Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie, she had been a bus driver for the Gates County School System, and was known in the community for her years of seamstress work. She was a member of Eure Christian Church.
Surviving are her husband, Elmore I. Felton; three daughters, Shirley Felton Luter of Suffolk; Freda Felton Crawford and husband Ken of Jamestown, N.C. and Jan Felton McGahee and husband Mark of Suffolk; a sister, Doris P. Morgan of Corapeake; and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William A. &uot;Bill&uot; Perry.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Eure Christian Church Cemetery by the Rev. Gilbert Crawford.
Friends may join the family from 7-8:30 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, and other times at the residence.
