Willie R. Ricks, son of the late Luther Ricks and Varonia Monger Ricks, was born in Suffolk. He died Friday, Nov. 7, 2003.

His survivors are: his wife, Doretha Jones Ricks, one daughter, Lisa Ricks; two sisters, Marion Godette and Brenda Williams; brothers-in-law, Matthew Godette and the Rev. Anthony Jones; sister-in-law, Lucretia Moyler; aunts, Susie Deloatch, Florence Monger and Maude Monger; niece, Cheryl Hall; nephew, Wayne Godette; special devoted friend, A.D. White; and other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Tabernacle Christian Church. The Rev. Upton will officiate. Interment will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery.

Viewing will be from noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday in T.E. Cooke-Overton Funeral Home.
