Mary M. Boone

Mary M. &uot;Mag&uot; Boone, 60, of 1000 Litton Lane, Apt. 3B, Suffolk, was born on Feb. 9, 1943. On Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003, God in his infinite wisdom, who’s too wise to make a mistake, with outstretched arms, called home our beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend. After a long courageous battle with cancer, she went home to an eternal rest from her labor, while at home surrounded by loved ones.
She was born in North Carolina and a resident of Suffolk. She was a member of New Mt. Joy Family Worship Center, where she served as a member of the Pastor’s Aide.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Johnny Bell Boone and Mary Elizabeth Parker Boone; and two brothers, Wendell and Alexander Boone.
She will be missed deeply by all who loved and knew her.
She is survived by three daughters, Mary &uot;Nita&uot; Boone, Lorraine Stevens and Jammie Lassiter; two sons, Bryant Boone and Eddie Boone, all of Suffolk; two sons-in-law, Tremell Stevens and Derrick Lassiter; one daughter-in-law, Betrice Boone, all of Suffolk; six sisters, Emily Boone, Margrit Booth, Alice Robinson, Martha Hall, Syroa Milteer, and Sandra Boone, all of Suffolk; three brothers, Johnny Boone, Ocie Boone and Calvin Boone, all of Suffolk; two brothers-in-law, Joseph Booth and Zachariah Milteer; one sister-in-law, Helen Boone, all of Suffolk; five grandchildren, James Boone, Kelvin Boone, Amaya Boone Stevens, Kelvin Artis, and Damien Montgomery; a loving and devoted companion and fiance’ of 40 years, James Elliott Sawyer; devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, in New Mt. Joy Family Worship Center, by Dr. William P. Wiggins Sr.
