Lakeland’s Melissa Dunn and the rest of her team ended its fourth straight Southeastern district-winning season Thursday with a 1-0 defeat of host First Colonial. A breakaway goal in overtime by Katelyn Smither helped the Lady Cavaliers to victory. On Oct. 29, they’ll start the district tournament as the top seed, with cross-town rival Nansemond River ranked second. The Lady Saints will host Norfolk Collegiate at noon today.
