Edward H. Willie of 2339 East Washington St., Suffolk, died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003, in Obici Hospital.

A native of Nansemond County, &uot;Ed&uot; was the youngest child of Arlethia Council Willie and the late Alexander Willie. He was also predeceased by his son, Brad Willie of Strasburg, Pa.; a brother and two sisters.

He attended East Suffolk High School, and was an Army veteran.

He had retired from Mack Trucking Company in Strasburg, Pa.

He was a former member of Canaan Baptist Church, where he attended regularly after returning to Suffolk.

His survivors include his mother, Arlethia C. Willie of Suffolk; two granddaughters, Misty Willie and Arlethia Willie; a daughter-in-law, Jean Willie, all of Strasburg; and many other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, in Canaan Baptist Church by the Rev. Robert Barnes. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery.

The family will assemble at the home of Bernice Maloney, 2423 East Washington St.
