Bertha Lee and Kevin Butler of Orangeburg, S.C., and Stanley Caine of Charleston, S.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Latosha Denise Caine, to Norman McCoy Artis, both of Suffolk.

He is the son of Mable Lee and Thomas Roberts, both of Suffolk, and Norman White of St. Albany, N.Y.

Miss Caine is the maternal granddaughter of Elvira Jefferson, and paternal granddaughter of Alice Charles, both of Orangeburg.

Mr. Artis is the maternal grandson of Margria White, and the late Norman White, and paternal grandson of Gladys Artis, and the late Harry Artis.

The wedding will take place Saturday, Nov. 8.
