Suffolk received approximately 1-3/4 inches of rain Friday, causing minor tidal flooding and tying up traffic on North Main Street near the bridge at Constant’s Wharf. Police reported that wet weather contributed to a slight increase in minor accidents throughout the day. The National Weather Service is projecting a 30 percent chance of rain in Hampton Roads for the next five days.
