Local authorities on Wednesday brought additional charges against the Suffolk man accused of using the Internet to arrange sexual meetings with several young girls in Hampton Roads.
The Suffolk Police Department has taken out warrants charging Keith David Goodman, 29, of 169 Graystone Trace with possession of child pornography, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, crimes against nature, and use of a communication system to facilitate offenses involving children.
The warrants have been forwarded to Norfolk City Jail, where Goodman is being held on $15,000 bond for related charges, said Officer Michael E. Simpkins, spokesman for the Suffolk Police Department.
Goodman, who was arrested in late June, is now facing 15 related charges in Suffolk, Simpkins said. In Norfolk, he’s been charged with carnal knowledge of a child 13 to 15 years old and with using a computer to commit a crime against a minor.
The latest string of charges come after a 15-year-old Newport News girl alleged that Goodman, a computer networking specialist for the city of Norfolk, befriended her on the Internet and initiated a meeting in Suffolk two years ago, Simpkins said. Suffolk authorities are interviewing at least one other victim, he said.
