Career, technical education luncheon honors area businesses

Nansemond River High School’s marketing education cooperative education students recently held their Annual Employer-Employee Appreciation Luncheon at Old Country Buffet.
The school recognized their employers with a framed certificate and a candy apple jar.
The following Marketing Education training stations were recognized:

Several employers, student-trainees, school personnel, Career and Technical Education Advisory Council members and special guests attended the luncheon.
The following special guests received gifts:
Mrs. Jane Bleiler, Technical Support, and Dr. Emily Richardson, Career and Technical Education Adult Education Coordinator.
Teacher J.B. Varney presented certificates for International Career Development Conference participants on behalf of the City of Suffolk and Mayor E. Dana Dickens III.
All District, State and International DECA winners were recognized and they brought their medallions, plaques and trophies to show their bosses.
