Michael Thurman Parker, 44, of 301 Babbtown Road, Suffolk, died Friday, May 23, 2003, in Greenville, N.C.

A native of Suffolk, he was predeceased by his father, William Thurman Parker; maternal grandfather, Herman Babb Sr.; and paternal grandparents, Telzie W. and Joseph Parker.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Babb Parker of Suffolk; son, Jason Parker of Newport News; sisters, Sandra P. Reilly and Brenda P. Weingartner, both of Suffolk; maternal grandmother, Audrey Babb Brinkley of Suffolk; special friend, Luther Wheeler of Severn, N.C.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. in Cypress Chapel Christian Church Cemetery by the Rev. Stewart McCarter.

The family will receive visitors at the residence of William Babb, 297 Babbtown Road.

Harrell and Hill Funeral Home, Suffolk, is handling arrangements.
