Mr. and Mrs. Billy E. Simpkins of Eure, N.C. announce the engagement of their daughter, Tammy Lynn, to Ryan Christian Milteer, son of James and Becky Jackson Hancock of Suffolk, and Paul and Patricia Beale Milteer of Franklin.

Miss Simpkins is the maternal granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Goodwin, formerly of Whaleyville; and the paternal granddaughter of the late Mrs. Myrtle Damron, formerly of Highland Heights, Ky.

Mr. Milteer is the maternal grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Jackson of Gates, N.C.; the paternal grandson of Mrs. Katherine Milteer of Suffolk, and the late Mr. Thomas Milteer; and the paternal great-grandson of Ms. Ethel Saunders, also of Suffolk.

Miss Simpkins is a graduate of The College of the Albemarle in Elizabeth City, N.C., and is employed by Dr. Steve A. Gwaltney, D.D.S., P.C. in Suffolk.

Mr. Milteer is a graduate of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, N.C., and is employed by Jackson Farms in Gates.

The wedding is planned for 4 o’clock in the afternoon of Saturday, June 21 in Reynoldson Baptist Church, Gates.
