Mr. and Mrs. Fred Brinkley of Suffolk are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Monica Jill, to Mr. Jonathan Glenn Mizelle of Franklin. He is the son of Ms. Nancy Mizelle and Mr. Andy Mizelle of Suffolk.

Ms. Brinkley is the granddaughter of Jasper and Hazel Daughtrey and Rachel Brinkley of Suffolk, and the late Ryland Brinkley. Mr. Mizzelle is the grandson of John and Dorothy Cobb of Zuni, and Mr. and Mrs. Otha Mizelle of Suffolk.

Ms. Brinkley is a 1995 graduate of Lakeland High School and a 1999 graduate of Old Dominion University. She is currently employed by Suffolk Public Schools at Nansemond River High School.

Mr. Mizelle is a 1994 graduate of Lakeland High School. He completed the Welding and Robotics program at the Pruden Center for Industry and Technology in 1994. He is currently employed by Mid-Eastern Builders, Inc.

A May 2003 wedding is planned for Bethlehem Christian Church in Suffolk.
