Eunice R. Bolden

Eunice Ricks Bolden, 85, of 1301 Fillmore St., Portsmouth, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, in Obici Hospital.
A native of Isle of Wight County, she was the widower of Deacon Luther J. Bolden Sr.
She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Portsmouth, and the oldest member of its Deaconess Board.
She is survived by one daughter, Gloria Ricks Carter of Philadelphia, Penn.; three step-daughters, Dorothy Glover, Chuckatuck; Eloise DeBerry and Marion Price, both of Portsmouth; one son, Horace Ricks, Plainfield, N.J.; stepsons, Floyd Ricks, Windsor; William Wesley Bolden, Portsmouth; two sisters, Martha E. Stubbs, Emporia; and Evangelist Margaret Hollimon, East Orange, N.J.; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Other survivors include nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, including a sister-in-law, Virgie Hollimon, Suffolk and friends.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Portsmouth, with the Rev. Ben A. Beamer Sr. presiding. Burial will be at Tyler Cemetery, Windsor.
Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth, is in charge of arrangement.
Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at 11 a.m., Friday. The family will be at the funeral home from 6-7 p.m. Friday, and other times at 4057 Deer Path Road, Suffolk.
The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Saturday.
