The city’s business community now has another option for Internet service.
Continental Broadband LLC, a Norfolk-based company, has expanded its dedicated broadband services to businesses and organizations in Suffolk.
The company opened in April 2001, initially offering services in Virginia Beach and Norfolk, said Paul Diemer, the company’s vice president. Over the past 18 months, the service has gradually expanded to all seven Hampton Roads cities.
The wireless connectivity that Continental uses is significantly more robust that traditional dial-up service that many businesses and residences have today, said Diemer.
Continental guarantees to have service started within seven days, he added.
Continental, a division of Landmark Communications, has more than 300 square miles of coverage in Hampton Roads.
