Pair sought in armed robbery

Authorities are searching for two suspects accused of robbing a man inside his home over the weekend.
The suspects, Jeffery L. Tolliver, 23, and Ray L. Dowdy, 24, are facing charges after breaking into a house in the 800 block of White Marsh Road around 12:45 a.m. Saturday. According to police, the two suspects held a revolver to the victim’s chest and stole $300 in cash from him.
The suspects then drove away in a 1994 Plymouth, heading toward Adams Street, police said. The suspects’ car was later found at Nansemond Square Apartments.
Both men will be charged with armed burglary, armed robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of an armed robbery, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Dowdy, 23, whose last known address is 2175 Kings Fork Road, is approximately 180 pounds and 5 feet 11 inches tall.
Tolliver is reported to be 140 pounds, 5 feet 8 inches tall and has a tattoo of Chinese art on his left arm. His last known address is 1015 Nansemond Parkway, #505E.
Both suspects are considered armed and dangerous, said Office Mike Simpkins, police spokesman. Anyone spotting either suspect should contact authorities immediately.
