Georgia Rosa Luster, 79, of Suffolk, passed away on Monday, June 28, 2010 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. She was a native of Suffolk and the daughter of the late John and Lottie Pugh. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Louis Pugh; sisters, Marcella Trower and Lottie Ricks; one daughter, Serita Franklin.
She was a member of First Baptist Church Mahan Street.
She leaves to cherish her memory: four children and one stepson, Verona Elam (Larry), of Chesapeake, Michael Daniel (Kim) and Joyce Daniel, both of Suffolk, Marcus Daniel (Paula), of Petersburg, Va., and Howard Daniel Jr. (Glenda), of Suffolk; two sisters, Emily Baily (Fletcher) and Johnetta Wood; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 3, 2010 at First Baptist Church Mahan Street officiated by Dr. Steven G. Blunt. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.crockerfuneralhome.com.
