Kent Rabb

Kent L. Rabb, 44, of Suffolk, passed away Friday morning, July 2, 2010. He was a native of Nansemond County and the son of Linda Ruffin Brown and Beverly “Bubba” Rabb (Bernice), of Clinton, Md.
He was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. He was a devoted member of Queen Street Baptist Church in Norfolk, Va., where he was a deacon, member of the Men’s Prayer Team and other ministries. He was the owner of Rabb’s Septic Tank Cleaning Service.
Besides his parents, he leaves to cherish his beautiful memory and celebrate his life four daughters, Jominique Johnson, of Salisbury, Md., Deanna Rabb and Chyna Outlaw, both of Portsmouth, Va., and Naomi Rabb, of Suffolk; one son, Omar Barnhill, of Portsmouth; two grandchildren; his father, the Rev. Robert Johnson, of Norfolk, Va.; paternal grandmother, Fleta Johnson, of Norfolk, Va.; three sisters, Deatrice Green (Kenneth), of Suffolk, Shannon Roberts (Dominic), of North Carolina, Yvette Parrish (John), of Portsmouth; two brothers, Antonio Rabb, of Suffolk and Jeffrey Brown (Bridgett), of White Plains, N.Y.; a special friend, Norris Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 9, 2010 at Queen Street Baptist Church in Norfolk, Va., officiated by Dr. Glenn Porter. Entombment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 8 a.m. Friday. The family is receiving visitors at 111 Shepherd St., Suffolk, and will also assemble there on Friday for the procession to the church at 9:45 a.m. Crocker Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
