Edith Melvina Arnold, 59, passed away August 1, 2010.
Raised in Chesapeake, Edith was the daughter of the late Archie and Lillian Pritchard. She was predeceased by her husband, Gary “Steve” Stephen Arnold. She was a writer and a member of Bible Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Serena Arnold, of Virginia Beach, Va.; sons, Gary S. Arnold Jr. of Fuaquay Varina, N.C., Joel “Boots” Arnold and wife, Diana, of Corapeake, N.C.; sister, Shirley McGrath, of Tampa Bay, Fla.; grandchildren, Christopher, Judd, Payton, Aidan, Hannah, and Stephen.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010 at 2 p.m. in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk, VA 23434 by the Rev. Kenneth Bunch with burial at Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery.
