Mildred Baker Speight, 91, died Dec. 28, 2009, at Sentara Obici Hospital.
Born in North Carolina, she was the widow of Harvey Thomas Speight, mother of the late Paul T. Speight and sister of the late Rosetta Speight. She was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church, the Savage Circle and the Fellowship Club.
Survivors include her grandson, J. Scott Speight and wife, Shelby; granddaughter, Chelsea; daughter-in-law, Jane Speight; sister, Cordelia Little; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in Bethlehem Christian Church by the Rev. Jonathan Palmer with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at her home.
