On Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009, Mr. James “JC” Woodberry Sr., of 804 W. Constance Road, son, brother, father, uncle and husband, peacefully entered into eternal rest to be with the Lord at Sentara Obici Hospital.
JC was a dedicated loving person and husband, always helping when and where he could. He was a member of Greater Light Reconciliation Ministry in Suffolk. There, he served on the Offertory Committee and as an armor bearer to the Pastor, always faithful and true.
He was educated in the Brooklyn school system. He furthered his education at a college in Manhattan, N.Y., in electronics.
JC was the son of Katherine Woodberry and the late Fred Woodberry. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife, Marshie Reid Woodberry; three daughters, ShaKaura, Latanya and Janice Woodberry and one son, James Woodberry Jr. all of Tohyhanna, Pa.; a mother-in-law, Lillian K. Reid; six sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law; one aunt, one uncle, one niece and a host of family and friends.
A homegoing service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Pentecostal Followers of Christ, Suffolk, Va. Harris Funeral Home, Suffolk, Va., is in charge of arrangements.
