Mary C. Mason, 82, of White Marsh Road, Suffolk, Va., departed this life on Monday, Aug. 10, 2009 at Nansemond Pointe Rehabilitation Center. She was a native of Southampton County, the daughter of the late Paul Junious Faltz and Vashtie Parker Faltz. She was also predeceased by her husband, George Mason Sr.; son, George Mason Jr.; and granddaughter, Tracy Faltz.
Mrs. Mason leaves to cherish fond memories a loving daughter, Elizabeth Morgan (William), of Suffolk; a devoted son, Kenneth Faltz (Victoria), of Franklin; 11 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Louise Turner, of Sedley, Va.; brother, Rossie Faltz, of Courtland; other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Greater Sweet Beulah Pentecostal Church, 137 Maple St., Suffolk, officiated by Dr. Madison Copeland. Interment will be at Carver Memorial Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the home of Elizabeth Morgan at 1237 White Marsh Road in Suffolk. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
