Single-car accident on Pruden Boulevard leaves one dead

One person died Saturday morning in a single-car accident on Pruden Boulevard.
Suffolk Police and Suffolk Fire & Rescue units responded to the 5000 block of Pruden Boulevard, near its intersection with Old Myrtle Road, at 5:45 a.m.
The vehicle overturned in the accident. One adult occupant, who was not identified pending notification of relatives, was pronounced dead at the scene. A second adult occupant was treated at the scene.
Lane closures and alternating traffic were expected be in place for several hours as the investigation into the cause of the accident continued.
