Suffolk Police and Suffolk Fire & Rescue responded early Monday to a vehicle fire on Route 58 westbound.
The call came in at 3:13 a.m., according to city spokesman Tim Kelley. It happened just before the Wilroy Road exit.
The occupants of the vehicle were able to exit the vehicle without incident, but it was fully engulfed by the time officers arrived. Firefighters extinguished the flames once they arrived.
The road was closed and reopened at 4:24 a.m., Kelley said.
