Unique Little Hands Child Development Center has opened at 3000 Godwin Blvd. The center serves children who are between the ages of 16 months and 11 years old.
The center provides licensed day care, pre-school and after-school care. The facility features classroom space, learning centers, play rooms dedicated to age and ability, on-site meal service and other amenities.
The center is open during traditional classroom hours and has extended hours on weekday evenings and Saturdays. Drop-in service is also available.
Meeting the evolving needs of families who may work past 6 p.m., when many other centers close, is important to owner Vonnie Thomas.
“We encourage families to use the extra hours to complete their errands or professional tasks and leave their children in trusted hands, because, in today’s world, many families are raising kids away from grandparents and extended family,” she stated in a press release.
“Unique Little Hands Child Development Center will be a welcome asset to the whole community, especially to working parents,” Suffolk Mayor Linda T. Johnson added.
