Meeting the evolving needs of families who may work past 6 p.m., when many other centers close, is important to owner Vonnie Thomas.

“We encourage families to use the extra hours to complete their errands or professional tasks and leave their children in trusted hands, because, in today’s world, many families are raising kids away from grandparents and extended family,” she stated in a press release.

“Unique Little Hands Child Development Center will be a welcome asset to the whole community, especially to working parents,” Suffolk Mayor Linda T. Johnson added.
