Suffolk Fire and Rescue personnel responded early Saturday morning to the scene of a residential structure fire in the 300 block of Boat Street.

Emergency dispatchers were notified of the fire at 1:44 a.m., and personnel arrived on scene five minutes later to find a vacant two-story home with a small fire in the back portion of the home, according to city officials.

Firefighters declared the blaze to be under control at 2:05 a.m. There were no injuries.

The cause of the fire is unknown, and the Fire Marshal’s office is investigating.
