Firefighters extinguished a fire in the engine compartment of a 1995 Mazda Millenia parked inside a garage in the 100 block of Walnut Street on Monday afternoon.

Neighbors called 911 at 12:48 p.m. to report the fire, and firefighters arrived four minutes later to find light smoke coming from the garage.

No one was home, so they forced entry to the garage and extinguished the fire by 1:08 p.m.

There were no injuries, and nobody was displaced.
