A firefighter suffered minor injuries while responding to a structure fire Tuesday afternoon in the 4900 block of Marina Drive.

The vacant, single-story residence is located off Respass Beach Road. The fire was reported at 2:31 p.m., and units were on scene eight minutes later.

Engines 5 and 25, Ladder 5, Medic 5, Tanker 9, EMS 1, Battalion 2, Fire Marshal 5 and the Chuckatuck Volunteer Fire Department responded. The fire was declared under control at 2:52 p.m.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
