A Suffolk police officer was arrested Thursday and charged with misdemeanor counts that originated in Fairfax County.
Officer James Holecek was arrested and released on his signature by the Suffolk Police Department.
According to Officer Tawny Wright, spokeswoman for the Fairfax County Police Department, officers there responded to a report of a telephone threat in the 4400 block of River Bed Way in the Alexandria area of Fairfax County on Jan. 16 at 1:44 p.m.
Officers determined the allegations were domestic in nature, Wright said. The Fairfax County police obtained two warrants, one for use of profane, threatening or indecent language over public airways and one for causing telephone to ring with intent to annoy.
Holecek is on administrative leave pending an internal investigation, according to Diana Klink, a city spokeswoman.
A number listed for Holecek was not in service Friday afternoon.
