Marjorie Brown Williams, 83, of 1126 Portsmouth Blvd., Suffolk, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010 at her residence. She was a native of Nansemond County and the daughter of the late Berney and Amy Diggs Brown.
She retired as a companion aide. Marjorie was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory four daughters, Helen Iris Coston (James), of Norfolk, Va., Carolyn Coleman (John), of Fort Washington, Md., Shirley Farrar, of Winston-Salem, N.C. and Rita Wilson, of Warner Robins, Ga.; two sons, Ronald Williams, of Chesapeake, Va. and Hilary Williams (Michelle), of Lawton, Okla.; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Matthew Sanders; nieces, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service will be held at noon Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010 at Oak Grove Baptist Church, officiated by Dr. Anthony Copeland. Interment will be in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of Amy Lockhart, 2626 E. Washington St., Suffolk. Crocker Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
