CHESAPEAKE — Jack L. Allsbrook, age 65, went to be with his Lord on Friday, Oct. 29, 2010.

Jack was born in Suffolk, the son of the late Myrtle and Jack D. Allsbrook. Mr. Allsbrook is also predeceased by his brother, Glenn Jr. and his stepson, Gary Thomas. Surviving Jack are his wife of 27 years, Mary Allsbrook, his son, Chris Allsbrook and his wife, Carrie, his daughter, Jennifer Allsbrook, granddaughter Miranda Allsbrook, and his sister, Betty Ann Williford and her husband, David.

Also surviving Jack are his stepdaughters, Elizabeth Gullivan, Sandra Foster and Joy Tribble, and a stepson, Pete Thomas, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Allsbrook was retired from the Naval Air Station, where he was an aircraft technician. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served his country proudly during the Vietnam War.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel. Interment will follow in Albert G. Horton Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk. The family received friends at Loving Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6:30-8 p.m. The family suggests memorial donations to the American Diabetes Association.
